At Weidner and Wegmann LLC, our family law practice assists clients on matters ranging from premarital agreements to complex divorce and child custody issues.  Our attorneys combine effective advocacy with the understanding and compassion needed in domestic matters.  Our services include the negotiation and preparation of complex prenuptial, marital, separation and property settlement agreements.  While a large portion of our practice is devoted to the representation of clients in matrimonial and custody actions, the attorneys in our practice also have expertise in domestic torts, palimony, and domestic violence.  In all of these areas, we are able to draw upon and integrate the firm's considerable battery of legal expertise, in particular the real estate and corporate departments.  We also handle al full array of post-judgment applications, including modification issues concerning alimony and support.  The firm recognizes that protracted litigation should be a last alternative in resolving disagreements.  Part of our practice centers around the expanding area of Family Law Mediation.  Weidner and Wegmann is certified by the South Carolina Bar for Family Law Mediation.  In those instances, where amicable resolutions are not possible, Weidner and Wegmann lawyers have the experience and the resources to pursue their client's interests throughout the discovery, trial and post-trial enforcement stages.  Drawing from their experience as Marine Corps attorneys, they understand and guide their clients through the often difficult Military Pensions, Military Support and Health Care Issues and Former Spouses Protection Act Issues.  We have successfully represented clients involved in inter an intra state custody disputes. Our initial consultations are always free and includes a thorough evaluation of the situation, with an aim toward achieving an outcome of the least possible financial and emotional expense to the client.
